OurDream AI review 2026: is it free, safe and worth it?

On OurDream's free plan every chat message costs 1 dreamcoin, and the help center says there are no regular free coins. That answers whether it's free. The rest (is it safe, what it costs, whether promo codes exist) I answered from the same help center and the upgrade page on 2 October 2026.
The basics
- A web app for AI roleplay. You make or pick a character, then chat, generate pictures and videos, and call.
- Run by Dream Studio USA, Inc.
- Premium is $19.99 a month, or $9.99 a month billed yearly ($119.88). Deluxe is $59.99, or $29.99 a month yearly.
- 1,000 dreamcoins a month on Premium, 5,000 on Deluxe.
- Free plan: an account only. Messages cost coins (details below).
- Web only. No App Store app.

Is OurDream AI free?
Only to look around. Pictures and videos need a subscription, and coins come from Discord contests and referral codes, not from a daily allowance. Several review sites claim "50 free messages and 5 images a day". The official help pages say otherwise, so I'd ignore those.
On Premium, messages are unlimited and don't touch your coins.

Yearly plans add bonus coins in the first month, 1,000 on Premium and 5,000 on Deluxe. Deluxe is new in 2026. Many review sites still list only Premium.
What the coins buy: an in-chat picture is 5, a voice call is 50 a minute, video is 100 per 5 seconds (up to 60 seconds), a new chatbot is 10. A full 60-second video is 1,200 coins, more than a month of Premium. OurDream's own estimate for 1,000 coins is about 200 pictures, 20 minutes of calls or 10 five-second videos. Plan coins arrive on each billing date. Coins you buy never expire, but you can only buy them while subscribed.
Is it safe and legit?
It's a real product from a named company, Dream Studio USA, Inc., with a public privacy policy, a Safety Center at safety.ourdream.ai and an active Discord. Billing is discreet, you can pay by card or crypto, and the rules ban minors and deepfakes of real people.
What I'd want to know before paying:
- No refund once you've used more than 25% of what you bought. A used monthly plan is not refunded, and crypto never is.
- Cancel, and your pictures and videos get blurred until you subscribe again.
- Account deletion is under Profile, Danger zone. It takes 24 to 48 hours and unused coins are gone.
- No Trustpilot score. On 2 October 2026 the ourdream.ai page there showed "This profile has been removed".
Promo codes
I found no official promo-code program. Plenty of sites list codes, and OurDream doesn't confirm any of them. The official ways to get extra coins are referral codes, Discord contests and the yearly bonus. The biggest discount I found is the yearly plan: $9.99 a month instead of $19.99.
OurDream AI vs Candy AI
Candy AI is cheaper on paper, $3.99 a month yearly, and its Premium comes with 100 tokens. Candy doesn't publish its token prices, so I can't compare per picture. OurDream's 1,000 coins are about 200 pictures for $9.99 a month yearly. For chat only, Candy's yearly plan costs less. The longer comparison is in Candy AI alternatives.
If it's not for you
Secrets AI has a much better free plan, 20 messages a day. Lovescape is cheaper per year and strong on pictures.
Verdict
The free plan is too small to judge OurDream. One month of Premium at $19.99 tells you more, and the yearly plan halves that to $9.99.
