Candy AI review 2026: free plan, tokens, refunds and the real price

A free Candy AI account gets 5 messages in total. After that it's $13.99 a month, or $3.99 a month on the yearly plan. I took the plan details from Candy AI's help center and subscription page on 2 October 2026. From Europe the page showed euro prices. US reviews from 2026 give the same figures in dollars, so the dollar prices below come from them.
The basics
- A web app where you chat with AI girlfriends (and boyfriends) and get pictures, voice messages and short videos.

- 100 tokens a month on Premium, for pictures, voice and video.
- Browser only. You can add it to your home screen.
One of the two best-known names here, with OurDream. Polished pictures, image-to-video, a big catalog of girls, guys and anime characters, and a yearly plan at $3.99 a month with unlimited chat. The catch is 100 tokens a month for media, and Candy doesn't publish what they buy. Run by EverAI Limited, Malta.

Is Candy AI free?
For a quick look. Besides the 5 messages, a free account gets 1 custom character and 1 picture, and that's it. On Premium, chat is unlimited and doesn't use tokens.

Every plan includes 100 tokens a month. Tokens pay for pictures, new custom characters, listening to voice messages, voice calls (still in beta) and image-to-video. More are on sale once you're logged in. I couldn't see the token price list without an account, so I can't tell you how many pictures the 100 monthly tokens cover. If you want a picture or video every day, check the token price list after signup before you pay for a year.
Is Candy AI safe and legit?
Yes, it's a real product from a named company, EverAI Limited in Malta. It takes cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, bank transfer and crypto, and your statement says "EverAI", not Candy AI. Account deletion is under Settings, Danger Zone.
Before paying I'd check three things. Refunds need a request within 24 hours, 20 tokens used or fewer, and a card payment. Deleting your account may not stop the subscription, and the help center has an article titled "I've deleted my account. Why do you keep on charging me?", so cancel first. And PissedConsumer has Candy AI at 1.7 out of 5 from 17 reviews, mostly billing and refunds. Its Trustpilot page was removed when I looked, so there's no score there.
Is it worth it?
For chat, yes. $3.99 a month on the yearly plan is the cheapest unlimited chat among the apps I compared, and the pictures are polished. For lots of pictures, voice or video, less so: 100 tokens is a tenth of OurDream's coin count, and Candy doesn't say what they buy.
If that's what you want, OurDream AI includes 1,000 coins a month, about 200 pictures, for $9.99 a month yearly, and Secrets AI has a far better free plan with 20 messages a day. The rest are in Candy AI alternatives.

Is there a free trial?
Not of Premium. The closest thing is the first month of the monthly plan, $9.99 instead of $13.99.
Is there an app?
The help center says there's no App Store or Google Play app. You add the website to your home screen instead.
Does it have AI boyfriends?
Yes, under "Guys". More options in AI boyfriend apps.
What shows on my card statement?
"EverAI".
